Pencils ready?? Quiz time!
Okay, Cece and I are now in Vienna, Austria after about ten days in the Czech Republic. So the quiz will be about the Czech. First part: the Czech Republic is made up of two different "areas" that were separate kingdoms centuries ago. The larger of the two is Bohemia, with its capital in Prague. What is the name of the second area, and what is its capital?
Second part: After dealing with the hordes of tourists in Prague (which brags on itself that it is the sixth most visited city in the world!) we headed down south to the small town of Cesky Krumlov for five days of relaxing and rafting and tubing. The question is, what river were we lazying around on as we slowly circled the Old Town of Cesky Krumlov?
Again, past winners aren't eligible for prizes but we look forward to seeing everyone's answers.
Good luck!
Matt and Cece

The river is Vltava.
I found three different areas of the Czech Republic though. Bohemia, Moravia (capital: Brno) & Silesia (Capital: Opava). However, some showed Bohemia and Moravia together, so I think you are looking for Silesia.
Ding ding ding! We have a winner. Actually, Michele, you gave us more info than we knew. We had only heard of Bohemia and Moravia, so the news about Silesia is bonus knowledge for all of us. I hope you'll be okay with a Danish souvenir as we have already left the Czech Republic and are currently in Denmark visiting with Cece's family. Thanks for playing and we'll be bringing your prize back with us when we return in less than a month!
Hey, you two. It has been fun reading all about your adventures these past few months. (Yes, I have been keeping up even if I haven't been writing.) I don't know if you heard through the grapevine or not, but I wanted to let you know that Chryss and I got married last month. It was probably right around the same time that you were at Lisa's wedding in France, 06/24/06. Anyway, I guess I'm a family man now so I better clean up my act. Have a safe trip back and we'll catch up when you get home. (Not that you want to think about it right now but there are a lot of jobs in Colorado so get yourselves out here when you get back.) I'll talk to you soon.
